Product - Rubber
Green Coast International today produces an innovative range of rubber based products which enjoy a reputation for consistent quality. The following are the major products.
Creamed Latex (50 - 55% DRC) Mattress, rubberized coir, balloon & adhesives manufacturing companies use cream latex.
Centrifuged Latex (Latex concentrate)
Our centrifuged latex which is considered amongst the best in the world, for a host of customers including manufacturers of condoms, balloons, adhesive mattresses and all types of rubber products. The machinery used for centrifuged latex is the latest Alfa Leval 510 centrifugers manufactured in Sweden.
We also manufactures specialised centrifuged latex under the brand name GCI 001, GCI 002 and GCI 003.
GCI 001 is specially made for sports bladder manufacturers and other sports manufacturers requiring higher tensile strength. By using GCI 001, tensile strength of the product increases by 20 to 30 percentages more than if a competitors product. Foam manufacturers use this rubber, which helps to give better compression results (10 to 20 %).
GCI 002 has a constant moony viscosity, which is useful for glove and balloon manufacturers.
GCI 003 is for rubberized coir manufacturers and other dipped good manufacturers. Consumption of rubber coir is brought down by 10 to 15 % without affecting quality.
PLC is a special grade of raw-natural rubber in its unmodified dry form. The focus in the process is to remove or dissociate the colouring constituents like carotenoids & other enzymes. Rubber is marketed in the form of crinkly laces with colour ranging white to off yellow, bundled together in the form of bales.
These biscuits are made from milk products and coconut powder. specially sugar is sprayed n the surface of the biscuits.Pre-vulcanised latex, a form of latex ideal for small manufacturers of balloon and gloves where they do not need to compound the latex but still get excellent products. This latex will be exported to Western Europe Middle East.
This is an economically important rubber albeit of a lower grade. The tree lace ( rubber in the tapping cut, channel and spout) & cup lump ( rubber in collection cups) are the chief raw materials in the production of Estate Brown Crepe (EBC).
These are first soaked in water and creped, first through coarse rollers & finally in a smooth roll mill. The crepe thus formed is dried and usually has a brown to tan colour.
EBC is used in application goods like shoe soles, and in non critical tyre compounds.
The skim fraction that is a by-product of centrifuging operation , has 3-4% rubber. Such a low percentage plus an increased proportion of non rubber constituents demand that to recover the rubber a very strong acid be used. Such a recovery using sulphuric acid has its ill effects on the obtained rubber . This grade though not technically good is still very much viable economically and is used in non critical applications.
The coagulated rubber is thoroughly washed with water and creped by passing through a battery consisting of coarse rollers initially & a final smooth rolled mill. The sheet obtained is dried and is marketed as skim crepe. This rubber is very fast curing & results in hard vulcanisates. The manufacturer can thus save on expensive accelerator dosage.
Skim crepe is mainly used in footwear manufacture.
